Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie release date rumors

Google latest update Android 4.3 was released with Nexus 7 but now all people are waiting for the upcoming version of Android. Android 4.3 was not the major update at all and hence people attention is towards the upcoming Android 5.0 commonly known as Android Key Lime Pie.  Although release of Android 5.0 is not revealed yet, but this doesn't mean Google is not working on Android 5.0.
In last week of July, Goggle officially announced the Android 4.3 and as a hardware new nexus 7 was launched.  As I mentioned above this was just an incremental update to Android 4.2, this update added several new features to Android 4.2. Although Android 4.3 was exciting update but most likely it will not be the only update from Google for this year and largest update honour is certainly reserved for Android 5.0.

So far rumours suggested that Android 5.0 likely will come with the successor of Nexus 4 i.e.  Nexus 5. Release of Nexus 5 is still in dark and we have to wait for few weeks for official launch date of device.  Certain reports have suggests that device possibly will come later on this year, probably in late October or in first half of November.

We don’t have much news regarding the Key Lime Pie because Android 5.0 is broad and complete secret.  Google has history of launching updates with hardware, last main update to Android OS remained Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and this update was released with first Nexus 7 device.
After Android 4.1 second update was Android 4.2, this update was released on Last November, an update that was rolled out with Nexus 4 and Nexus 10.  After this update Google took almost eight months and then launch Android 4.3 with new Nexus 7.

Now considering this pattern of Google we can easily claim that Android 5.0 most likely will come with Nexus 5 and a new Nexus10. Updates from 4.1 to 4.3 are known as Android Jelly Bean, but latest update will have a new name Android Key Lime Pie, so for sure this will be a bigger update then we have seen over the last few years.
