Samsung GS5 is now official and coming to shelves in few weeks, and now all attention is diverted towards release of GS5 strong competitor All new HTC One, device which will be successor of last year flagship HTC One.
Last month Samsung revealed its flagship S series Smartphone of the this year, although many gadget experts criticized Samsung for launching GS5 with same last year design, but still device proved its worth by having number of quality updates. Soon after launching event of GS5 HTC start teasing its fans with All new HTC One videos, and also revealed that device will be live on March 25th. Although thanks to numerous leaks we have plenty of details regarding upcoming HTC flagship device of this year.
Both GS5 and All New HTC One will be head to head in coming weeks, but from look of things it seems Samsung might have few edge over All new HTC One. Let's have a look how Samsung flagship GS5 will compete with upcoming All new HTC One.
Samsung Galaxy S5 is offering a bigger display with a 5.1 inch Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. According to certain leaks upcoming All new HTC One will be having display of 5 inch but with screen resolution of 1080 pixels.
Samsung is one of the best in screen technology, and also GS5 is offering display with more PPi than All new HTC One. Due to high PPI GS5 will be having better and accurate colors than All New HTC One. We have to wait for final All New HTC One variant, so that we can compare which one is better in terms of display and PPi.
In terms of build quality no doubt HTC wins, and without any doubt built-up quality of HTC is far better and superior than GS5. There are couple of reasons behind this, one of the reason is HTC is building its flagship model with Aluminium shell, and with attractive front facing speakers.
On the other hand Samsung is working on different angle, as this year flagship GS5 is again manufactured mostly from plastic, but this time Samsung add nice and attractive rings of aluminium around the edges of GS5.
WATER & DUST RESISTANT:
Samsung launched GS5 with water and dust resistant capability, and GS5 also got IP67 certification. GS5 can survive 3 feet of water for half an hour. Samsung flagship GS5 gives user a confidence that if accidently they drops their device in pool, it won't cost them $600.
Although GS5 is fully water proof but still 3 feet is good start and we can expect Samsung will work more on this feature in their next gen Galaxy S Smartphones. Although offering these kind of feature increase cost price but still Samsung thinks this feature important to implement.
On the other hand from so far rumours and leaks, we don't have any evidence how All New HTC One will be competing with GS5 in this filed, and certainly this might be the key area where GS5 might get lead over All New HTC One.
Samsung GS5 camera shows how much muscle Samsung give this feature, because Samsung GS5 is having 16 MP ISOCELL camera lens with some extremely beneficial features like Auto Focus, performance in low light is also improved.
HTC seems was not expecting this kind of camera from Samsung with such enormous features. As per rumours we have details HTC will be using 8 MP Ultra Pixel camera, and this year device will be having a dual camera on rear side, it's known as "Duo Camera". In recording video Samsung not only beats HTC but will also beat all other companies, because GS5 can record video in 4K resolution, which is magnificent.
Let's see what HTC plans to compete with GS5 which is launched on high note with having 16 MP ISOCELL camera with numerous features.
Finger print scanner gained popularity when iPhone 5S was launched with TouchID, and device proved how much this feature is important for security, and also for popularity of device.
HTC introduced this feature in HTC One Max, but later on killed this feature for All New HTC One. So we can expect All New HTC One with this feature, but have to wait for All New HTC One and GS5 release, to check which device works more accurate.
Both GS5 and All New HTC One will be having latest Android 4.4.2 in customized form. GS5 will be having Samsung skin over Android, while HTC One successor will be having latest Android OS in the form of Sense 6 UI.
