Google Nexus 8 is still a mystery for many Google geeks, as from last six months we have plenty of reports regarding Specs and launch of this device. Now latest report from Motoring Crunch suggests that Google Nexus 8 release is pegged for fourth quarter, and production of Nexus 8 will start in August. Initially we have reports suggesting Google might be releasing this device at annual I/O event which will be held in June.
Google usually release Nexus 7 series tab in second quarter of year, but this year it seems Google changed its plan and now releasing an 8 inch tab to compete with Apple's iPad Mini. Apple's both tablet iPad Air and iPad Mini are performing well, both devices are right on success track since its release and no doubt currently dominating the tab market. This year Nexus 8 will be replacing Nexus 7 series, and Google will be gaining more profit as due to lesser competition in 8 inch tab market.
As far as manufacturer is concern all reports are pointing Taiwanese giant manufacturer HTC as manufacturer of Nexus 8. Although HTC doesn't have an extra ordinary record in manufacturing tablets, but Google is known for giving break to third party manufacturers. In last few years Google helped two giant companies LG and Asus to prove their worth and now both companies are enjoying followers because of partnership with Google.
Initially we have reports Nexus 8 will be featuring Qualcomm chip-set, but soon these rumours die, as we have reports suggesting Google Nexus 8 will be featuring Intel chip-set to be specific Moorefield processor. As OS device is expected with latest Android 4.5 Lollipop on board. We also have reports Google is planning to release this device with slightly expensive price tag, like last year it won't be major increase instead will be minor jump from current tab price tag.
