Google released first batch of Android One Smartphones few days ago in India. Google initially released three models of Smartphone under Android One program in India. Price tag of all three models is around $100. Google Android One initial three devices are Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Android One Dream and Karbonn Sparkle V.
Wait list doesn't ends here, because according to latest report from AndroidOS Google is planning to release second batch of Android One devices as soon as in late December. Next batch devices will be manufactured by Karbonn and Intex, both are local manufacturers.
However Google Android One manufacturer partners are not local only but giant companies including HTC, Asus, Xolo, Lenovo and Panasonic are among the other manufacturers. However so far none of the company officially told the expected release of Smartphones expected from them.
All three Android One Smartphones are offering nearly same specs but with different design. All devices includes a larger display of 4.5 inches with a screen resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. All are powered by MediaTek quad core processor with 1 GB of RAM. All devices supported external SD for extension of memory. Most important feature is that Google promised latest Android update for 2 years after release.
Recently MediaTek suggests that they are expecting 1.5 to 2 million Andorid One handsets sale in first quarter of release i.e. by the end of this year. Though initially we have reports of Google will be expanding Android One program for other countries as well but so Google didn't clear when to expect Android One in other Markets.
