Google Nexus 7 Tablets Running Android Lollipop Passes Bluetooth Certification

Google announced Android Lollipop last week on Oct 15th and stated that update is on the way and will be released soon. After the announcement rumors start swirling regarding the exact release date for OTA Android Lollipop release. Recently SDK of latest Android 5.0 released for developers. Today once again we have another clue of indeed update is on the way for the release because Google Nexus 7 and Nexus 7 LTE passed Bluetooth certification with latest Android 5.0.

Recently we have seen HTC M8 passed Bluetooth certification with Android 5.0, As I mentioned earlier passing certification doesn’t means update for device will be released with-in few days, but certification is one of the needed step in the process of releasing of update. As per latest leaks initially Wi-fi variant of both Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will be getting Android lollipop on Nov 3rd. Let me remind you it’s the same date when Nexus 9 pre-orders deliveries will kicks off.

The Bluetooth certified devices includes last year Asus K008 device which was later released as 2013 variant of Nexus 7 while second device is Asus Me370T which was not final version of 2012 Nexus 7 but was a MeMo tab for Nexus 7 2012. Model number of the update appeared in listing is LRW51C.
So far every clue is indicating that update is still on track and we can expect Nov 3rd as release date for OTA Android 5.0 update for Nexus Wifi Tabs.
