Few weeks earlier, Google announced the latest build of Android OS as 5.0. This update is considered as a major overhaul to the current Android OS. So far Google released update for its Nexus users and currently Google Play Edition users are also receiving this update.
Only LG is the first Smartphone manufacturer which started rolling out latest Android Lollipop soon after its release, but still many customers of G3 are still waiting for this update.
Android Smartphones users’ anticipation is pretty high and everybody is keen to know when they will be the receiving the latest build of Android Lollipop. In past few months, Google has released two Android updates. First was Android 5.0 Lollipop, second was a follow-up update which mainly focusing the bugs that weighed down the Android 5.0.
Samsung started rolling out Android Lollipop for this year flagship Galaxy S5, while if leaks are accurate then Galaxy Note 4 will also be getting the update by the end of the December. Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 users can expect update in mid-January 2015. Samsung started rolling out Android Lollipop for its GS4 GPE.
Recently HTC rolled out Android Lollipop latest build for its HTC One M7 and One M8 Google Play Edition devices. HTC promises Android 5.0 for HTC One M7, HTC One Mini, HTC One M8, HTC One Mini 2 and HTC One Max.
Google released the Android Lollipop source code on Nov 3. By keeping the HTC promise in mind, we can expect HTC flagship devices will be getting update by the mid of Feb 2015.
Last but not the least Sony is also getting ready to release Android Lollipop for its Smartphone and tablets at the beginning of next year. Final date for update is still in dark.
Sony promises update for Xperia Z3, Z3 compact and Z3 tablet along with last year Xperia Z2 and Z2 tablet. Sony Google Play Edition Z Ultra is expected will be getting the update pretty soon.
