Google updating Nexus 7 with Android 5.0.2: Factory Images Leaked

Recently Google started rolling out Android 5.0.1 update for its Nexus devices which earlier received Android Lollipop. In USA T-Mobile started sending out OTA Android5.0.1 update for its Nexus 5 and Nexus 6. In first week of December HTC GPE HTC One M7 and One M8 also received Android 5.0.1.

Now as per latest information Google is working on Android 5.0.2 and the Factory Images of Android 5.0.2 available for the OG Nexus 7. In addition, Google also started sending out Android 5.0.2 OTA update to OG Nexus 7.

Like Android 5.0.1, this update is not major update instead it will be bug fix update especially for tablets. Build number of this update is LRX22G, it will be fixing the storage and alarm issues on Nexus tablets.

It’s important to know that Google released Android 5.0.1 for its Nexus Smartphone series, but 2012 Nexus 7 variant never updated with Android 5.0.1, it will be getting 5.0.2 as a first bug fix update after Android 5.0 Lollipop. There are fair chances that this update might be device specific update, which is released to fix the bugs that Nexus 7 faces after Lollipop.

The Factory images will be beneficial for those users who have rooted devices and miss the updates from Google.  These factory Images will also help those users who lost their way while updating.
