Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge Will Be Getting Android 5.1: Might Skip Android 5.0

Google released Android Lollipop as one of the biggest update to its Android OS. Google announces update in October, since then every Android customer is keen to know when their device will be getting latest Android Lollipop. Nearly all manufacturers are in race to start sending OTA update to its loyal customers.

Samsung is one of the manufacturer which started releasing update for this year flagship Galaxy S5 but many other devices from Samsung are in line for the update from Samsung. These devices includes Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge.

Before Samsung started sending update we have seen alleged videos of aforementioned devices running latest Android Lollipop. Latest report from SAMMobile suggests Samsung is getting ready to release Android 5.0.1 for its Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge.

In this case we can expect Samsung will skip the Android 5.0 for 2014 phablets. SAMMobile is pretty reliable source as far as Samsung update and leaks are concern.

Samsung didn't unveil its plan but we can expect Samsung will release the Android 5.1 update at the same time when they were releasing Android 5.0. We know Samsung users are eager to get update but non flagship customers should not expect update before February 2015.
