Samsung Galaxy S4 Users Will Be Getting Android 5.0.1 Lollipop: Firmware Leaked

Recently Samsung started rolling out Android Lollipop 5.0 for its last year flagship Galaxy S5 but today we have leaked latest Android 5.0.1 working build for Galaxy S4. It shows that Samsung is internally testing latest build of Android Lollipop for its 2013 flagship.

The below mentioned translated source didn't mentioned the source of the file but users who tested this file suggests that this file is indeed original and working like official firmware from Samsung.

They also mentioned that all specifications are working fine. Basic specs of daily driver including Bluetooth, WIFI, NFC and all Samsung GS4 sensors are working properly. As this update source is Chinese that’s why few system messages of the update are in Chinese.

Although test users are satisfy with this update but still we can expect few bugs because it is unlikely to be the final build of Samsung’s 5.0.1 update. This update can flash on nearly all version of Galaxy S4 except the GT-I9505. GT-I9505 variant is not packed with Exynos processor, instead it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600.

If you wanted to test the update, make sure you backup your device data before updating it. Before starting update make sure you read the topic from XDA in order to know the extra instructions.

This leak is surely one of the polished version of final build because it’s working fine without bugs and Samsung GS4 users can expect official version in few upcoming days.

Do share your thoughts below if you update your GS4 with this build of Android Lollipop.
