Android 5.1 Release Date Inching Closer: What Nexus Users Can Expect

Recently Android One devices in Indonesia hinted about the arrival of Android 5.1. Yes Google is getting ready to release the next iteration of its Android OS. Although majority devices are still waiting for Android Lollipop 5.0 but Google will release the update as rumoured earlier.  
In Indonesia one of the variant of AndroidOne devices was caught with Android 5.1. Device was powered by Android 5.1 out of box. Since then everyone is keen to know what will be the major changes Google will be bringing with this update. Second when Nexus owners will receive this update.

As we discussed earlier this update won’t be a major one, instead this update will be focusing on bug fixes. In stock Android version user will not spot any visual differences. Changes expected in Android 5.1 are mentioned below.  
Expected Changes in Android 5.0 for Nexus Users               
Silent Mode (Removed in Android Lollipop)
Stability In Sudden App crash  
Ok Google Glitch Will be fixed
Battery Life Management will be improved
Issues of Lock screen will be fixed
Optimization of RAM usage
New toggle buttons for WI-FI and Bluetooth will be added in Android 5.1 notification panel  

Few expected changes in Android 5.1 are mentioned above, now as per latest info Google will start OTA(Over The Air) roll-out from last week of February 2015. System Images for this version of Android are also expected sometime in next week.  
Initially Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 will get update, other variants of Nexus will be getting update by the mid of the March 2015. Build number for Nexus 5 Android 5.1 will be LMY29C. We will share some more news regarding the upcoming iteration of Android, stay connected to know more.
