As we discussed few days earlier, Google is getting ready to release the next iteration of its AndroidOS. Next version of Android will be 5.1 and leaks suggested we can expect update by the end of February. Android 5.1 is spotted many times in last few days and today once again update is spotted and this time it’s in Philippines powering the latest Android One Smartphones.
It seems Android 5.1 rollout for Nexus devices is also pretty nearer. Proof of this comes from website of Geekbench benchmark where 2013 flagship Nexus 5 was spotted running on latest Android 5.1. Couple of features are expected in this update including an improved battery life, stability in system, RAM management will be improved and silent mode will be back again with this update which was taken away in Android Lollipop.
From look of things Google is not going to change the name for Android 5.1 build that’s why this update will also be under Lollipop umbrella. We have seen this in past also when Google released three version of Android under Jellybean umbrella.
Google wanted to keep some desert letters reserve, so that they can use these in future. Android 5.1 for Nexus devices is expected by the end of this month. Stay connected to know more, we will keep you updated.
