HTC One M9 VS One M9 Plus: What To Expect

HTC launching event is just few weeks away, everyone is keen to know what to expect from HTC in terms of One M8 successor on March1st at Mobile world congress event Barcelona. From look of things it seems HTC will be announcing two flagship devices this year. First normal variant will be released as One M9 while second one will be One M9 Plus.

Internally HTC has given codename Hima to both smartphones. Initially we heard that HTC One M9 will be released with a quad HD 5 inches display while M9 Plus variant with a larger display of 5.5 inches but latest leaks suggests something different. According to latest info One M9 plus will be featuring a 5.2 inches quad HD display not a 5.5 inches display.

Let’s have a look on internal specs what HTC will be offering to its customers. As mentioned above both devices display is not noticeably different. Well according to latest tweet from @upleaks One M9 will be featuring 5 inches HD display with screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, while slightly larger display variant One M9 Plus will be featuring quad HD display with screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.

We also have a beautiful rendered image of One M9 and One M9 Plus from @evleaks, we can see clearly One M9 Plus also has a physical home button while smaller variant is missing. Upleaks further suggests that device with physical home button will also have a fingerprint scanner.

As operating system both variants will be having latest version of Android Lollipop with HTC’s Sense 7.0 user interface. HTC One M9 Plus variant is expected will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 810 processor while other variant will be featuring MediaTek processor. Both Snapdragon 810 and MediaTek processor will be powered by 3GB of RAM.

Both variants will be having BoomSound speakers on top and bottom of front display. Base model will be having 32 GB of internal memory. Both One M9 and One M9 Plus are expected with a dual rear camera of 20.7 MP while front facing camera of 13MP.
