Although HTC announced its flagship One M9 but that doesn’t mean HTC will stop and in last few days we have plenty of new images of One M9 Plus which indicates indeed device is real and its launch will be in few days.
This One M9 Plus is expected as premium variant of recently released One M9. This device will be having a 5.2 inches display of 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. Two variants One with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 while second with an Octa core MediaTek processor is expected. Since One M9 Plus rumours started everyone was expecting device will be unveiled at MWC event but surprisingly Taiwanese giant manufacturer didn't unveiled this device at the event.
From look of recent rumours and leaks it seems HTC fans won’t have to wait much for the announcement of the device. Today we have news that HTC Americas' chief Jason MacKenzie said they will be announcing a new Smartphone later in March. Although head didn’t mentioned the device model or name but he claimed this device will distinguish them between Samsung and Apple. Let’s have a look how Jason MacKenzie teased about new Smartphone.
"When I look at the flagship [the M9], I see we're building the most premium device. But I can't stop there. We have a huge announcement in middle to late March around extreme differentiation between Samsung and the iPhone. It solves key pain points."-Jason Mackenzie, president, HTC Americas
These days nearly all companies release a premium variant of their flagship Smartphone. Apple introduced two iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus last year. Recently Samsung also introduced Galaxy S6 along with Galaxy S6 Edge. Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi also introduced Mi Note with Mi Note Pro. So we can say that it’s a trend unveiling a premium Smartphone along with flagship Smartphone. HTC releasing One M9 Plus won’t be different from other manufacturers.
As I mentioned above nearly all manufacturers are looking to introduce two devices, Now HTC has to introduce something special to remain prominent in the crowd. There are two ways to be prominent, either through their device extra ordinary features or through promotion. At this time we can’t confirm which method HTC will adopt to remain prominent.
