Google start rolling out Android 5.1 Lollipop OTA for the LG Nexus 4

Google updated its 2012 flagship Nexus 4 with Android 5.0 lollipop in November 2014. Everyone was expecting Android 5.0 will be the last update for Nexus 4 but now Google started rolling out Android 5.1 Lollipop for Nexus 4 users. The update for Nexus 4 weighs 174MB, so you can easily update your device via 3G connection (Nexus 4 misses LTE compatibility) or over WI-FI.

Currently Nexus 4 users are on LRX22C build of Android Lollipop, with this update their device will be updated with LMY47O build of Android. I am sure many already know that latest Android 5.1 update is not major update but instead it mostly contain of bug fixes and couple of improvements ob board.

The major addition in this update is Google included a new Device protection feature and also now users can access WI-FI from quick panel. Bluetooth connectivity is also enhanced with this update. This Android 5.1 update is the fifth update to Nexus 4 since its release with Android 4.2.

It’s fascinating to see Google is still updating the Nexus 4 with Android 5.1, even though they released this device couple of years ago. Although Google didn't published Android 5.1 factory image for the Nexus 4 so far but still you can update your device via the link given below.
