Samsung latest flagship Galaxy S6 pre-orders are already telling the success story and device pre-orders helped Korean giant to firm its position as number one in Android smartphone market. In last few quarters Samsung sales were not up to expectations that’s why success of Galaxy S6 was very important for Samsung.
On the other hand Google unveiled its Motorola manufactured flagship Nexus 6 back in last quarter of 2014 but device is still one of the best option available in the market.  Many gadget fans wanted to compare it with latest Samsung Galaxy S6. Today we will discuss some of the key features battle between the two flagship smartphones.

Let’s start with design, Samsung Galaxy S6 is one of the best designs from all of its predecessors. Samsung has really done a great job in terms of Design. It is featuring a luxurious glass plate in front and back which is sealed with sides made up of aluminium.
Whereas, Nexus 6 is quite similar to Motorola flagship, Moto X (2014) in terms of design. It also has a complete glass panel on front, which is guarded by aluminium on both sides. Device provides overall a good feel and look but Samsung flagship looks more premium than Nexus 6.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 has 5.1-inch screen display with a Quad HD screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It has 577 PPi pixel density.  All of these superb features come to a remarkable display and a great colour saturation.
Whereas the Nexus 6 also features a great screen display of 5.96-inches with Quad HD screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels with 493 ppi. It’s display color looks great and real. It is packed with a Super AMOLED Display, which boosts with QHD resolution.

Both devices are featuring Quad HD display, now its customer choice whether they prefer 5.1 inches display or 5.9 inches display.

Operating Software:

Nexus 6 was released with Android 5.0 Lollipop but Google is updating device frequently and currently device is running on Android 5.1 lollipop. On the other hand Samsung released Galaxy S6 with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with its own TouchWiz.
If you wanted to get frequent updates and use a clean & pure version of Android then surely Nexus 6 is better because its OS is stock Android version. Samsung updates are not as fast as Nexus devices, and it also has TouchWiz cover.

Processor & RAM:

The Samsung’s flagship Galaxy s6 is the latest and the fastest flagship device by Samsung. It is packed with the best of its kind latest Exynos 7420 Octa-core 64-bit chip-set with 3GB of RAM.

The latest processor along with this Ram provides best experience of Android OS. Although we got a chance for very less experience so far. But benchmark results says it all.
Google Nexus 6 is around here for a while that’s why we have more time spent in playing with the Google Nexus 6. It’s overall experience is really fast.  Nexus 6 is the device which opens apps fast, and screen response is also very responsive.

For all these pleasures we should thanks its fast processor, which is Quad-core Snapdragon 805 with clocking speed of 2.7 GHz. It also features 3GB of Ram like Samsung Galaxy S6.

As many of us know that the Samsung Galaxy S6 camera is all of the latest technology and Samsung also says that they got the best camera for S6 available in market But Nexus 6 is also not far apart from Samsung in this race.
The Galaxy S6 has a 16-mega pixel-rear camera with optical image stabilization, which provides superb photos with great color saturation. It delivers much similar pictures as that of a DSLR. It has a 5-mega pixels-front camera, which surely will gets the attention of many selfie lovers.
On the other hand Nexus 6 although has a little bit low camera of 13- MP with OIS as compared to GS6 but still the pictures captured by Nexus 6 are of great quality.  Nexus 6 lacks in front-facing camera category and is packed with 2-MP camera.

Samsung Galaxy S6 is recently announced that’s why it has better hardware specs as compared to six months old Nexus 6. Both devices have few edges over each other. Nexus 6 will get the latest stock Android updates for at least 3 years where as Samsung Galaxy S6 owners will have to wait a bit longer (nearly 3 months) after Google announce latest update.
Usually Google Nexus devices are known for their medium high end specs with affordable price tag but this is not the case for this year flagship Nexus 6 which is powered by high end hardware products available at that time.

Samsung Galaxy S6 has advantage being six month elder than Nexus 6. It also features couple of specs which Nexus 6 missed including finger print scanner.  If you want to buy a high end smartphone with 5.9 inches display and latest Android stock updates for at least three years then your should choose Google Nexus 6.

On the other hand Samsung Galaxy S6 will also get updates from Samsung but these updates won’t be as fast as Nexus 6 will receive. Samsung Galaxy S6 display is 5.1 inches which once again easy to handle with one hand whereas it’s not easy to handle Nexus 6 with one hand.
