Android Lollipop is now powering 10% of Android Devices

Google Android Lollipop users are increasing with each passing day. As per latest Android weekly distribution number 10% Android users are now on Lollipop 5.0.  Android Lollipop reached this milestone with a little help from latest Android 5.1 update.


The major player is still the Android KitKat. Google released KitKat back in October 31st 2013 with Nexus 5. Android KitKat is nearly 20 months old but currently it is powering the 40% Android devices around the globe.


We can expect major growth in Lollipop share in few days because all current flagships Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and LG G4 are running on latest Android firmware. As sales of aforementioned devices will increases growth of Lollipop will atomically increase. On the other hand big giants like Samsung, HTC, LG and Huawei are also rolling out Android Lollipop for their other devices.
