According to a recent report from China, Huawei is developing its own operating system which will be released as Kirin OS. If Huawei manufacture Kirin OS successfully then it will reduce the dependency of Huawei on Google Android.
This report released at a time when Chinese giant manufacturer is moving towards the US market. Huawei is holding a media event in New York On June 2nd in which company most likely will be announcing a new or couple of new handsets for the US customers.
Huawei is already using Kirin chipset in many of their devices, now the latest Kirin OS from Huawei will work in combination with upcoming chipset from Huawei.
On the other hand Huawei is also rumoured to be manufacturing one of the Nexus handset. LG us rumoured to be manufacturing a 2015 version of successful Nexus 5 while Huawei is expected to manufacture the phablet version based on company recently released Mate 8 smartphone.
The Huawei manufactured Nexus smartphone is expected to have a 5.7 inches quad HD display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. As far as processor is concern, Huawei has two options, one is to wait for a newer chipset from Qualcomm in second quarter whereas second option is using Huawei’s own Kirin chipset in next Nexus phablet.
Huawei has lined up two Kirin chipset for second half of the year, one will be the Kirin 940 SoC and second will be Kirin 950. First soc is lined up for Q3 while second one is line up for Q4. Both chipset supports LPDDR4 RAM.
