Both Google and Apple recently announced their Beta versions of next updates. Google announced Beta version of Android M for developers. The Final version of Android M release will be in the third quarter with a Nexus hardware device, most probably a Nexus smartphone. On the other hand, Apple also announced iOS 9 Beta version for developers. IOS 9 final release will be alongside iPhone 6s in September this year.
Today we put both Beta versions updates against each other and a have a comparison of the key User Interface differences. It’s an early comparison, we will do it once again once respective companies unveil final versions. On I/O 2015 event, Google gives an extensive view of what features Android M is bringing. Cupertino giant during its event focuses on the additions users will get after updating iOS 9.
This year both Google and Apple updates not focused on visually overhauling instead both giants updates are aligned about the under the hood enhancements.
With Android L Google completely overhaul its UI design but this time Android M is focusing on the basic level improvements like battery management, performance booster and general features improvements. Apple iOS 9 also aims to enhance the performance rather than bringing a new User Interface.
