Apple's 2018 iPhones could implement flexible OLED display

The Cupertino giant Apple patent a Smartphone with a curved display is the clear indication that the company wanted to explore this direction in the future. That’s why they secure it in the USPTO as they usually do.

According to a recent report from BusinessKorea a Korean source, Apple might pursue a device with flexible OLED display panel. I am sure you want to ask why this news tipped from Korean media. Well, as you all know both Samsung and LG are the major production player of flexible OLED display. Both companies invested heavily in production and research of flexible OLED display.

Currently, LG is also one of the display suppliers of Apple. Korean manufacturer supplies the OLEDs display for the iWatch. Recently LG suggests that they will be transforming their one of LCD manufacturing enterprise into an OLED assembly enterprise.

LG also unveiled G Flex 2 with a flexible display. Well according to source report Apple won’t be announcing their first flexible display smartphone till 2018. Well, 2018 seems far away but Apple is known for incorporating the new technology when it is mature enough that the customer wants it as an added value for the consumers.

Once again we will recommend you take these rumours with a pinch of salt as it’s too early to predict about the 2018 iPhone flagships of Apple.
