OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei interview published this weekend, its clears up many questions of OnePlus fans. First of all everyone was keen to know about the latest teaser by the company in which OnePlus One was partially erased and tagline was “Time to change”. Since then we have rumours that OnePlus is going to announce the 2015 flagship onJune 1st.
But unfortunately, today’s announcement has nothing to do with the OnePlus Two announcement but instead today company will be announcing a price tag on its 2014 flagship both variants. Company will drop price up to $50. The new price tag for 64GB variant will be $298 whereas 32GB variant will be available for $248.
As I mentioned above, Pei interview solved many queries of OnePlus fans. He confirms that sequel variant name will have numeral 2 which means name will be OnePlus Two. He further said that device unveiling will be in third quarter of the year.
When he was asked about the terrified invite system, he said this system help the company to maintain the supply and demand because they can’t afford to manufacture a ton of devices because of thin margin. Initially company planned to sell 50,000 to 100,000 units but eventually sold nearly 1 million devices which is a huge success for the first smartphone of the company.
The OnePlus Two will have same invite system but he mentioned this time they will be sending a lot more invitation than last time after announcement. At the end he mention about the new version of Oxygen OS which will be bringing a lot new features and announcement of new OS version will be along the OnePlus 2.
