Recently we shared a news regarding an early release of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 so that Korean giant next phablet can compete against iPhone 6s. Today we have reports from the Korean media which suggests Samsung might announce Galaxy S7 in the second half of 2015.
The reason behind this early announcement is same company wants to beat the upcoming iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Samsung usually announces its Galaxy S flagship in the first half of the year but according to latest report from Newsis, Samsung started work on upcoming flagship nearly 3 months earlier ahead of the usual schedule.
An early development of GS7 will allow Korean giant to announce next flagship by the end of 2015. As usual we recommend to take this rumour with a grain of salt but if this rumour is indeed accurate, this will be the first time when Samsung announce two Galaxy S flagships in the same year.
Historically, Samsung waits at least 12 months for the next flagship but the latest rumour is the making sense. Samsung is shifting its development order so that they can better respond against the Apple flagship series, which means we can expect Samsung to announce its Galaxy S series in the second half of the year.
An early announcement of Galaxy Note 5 and GS7 is the clear indication of Samsung is taking serious measures to do a head on battle with the Apple flagship lineup. Well, it remains to be seen how this battle between Samsung and Apple will process because shifting of development order might also hurt Samsung sales as well.
What do you think an early announcement of next Galaxy S flagship will hurt the Samsung sales or not?
