The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus announcement is expected at Berlin IFA 2015. A new report has revealed much of the specs details of both devices ahead of the official launch. We heard a lot of rumours regarding both the devices in last few weeks but today’s report will clear up the confusion among Samsung fans.
According to a recent report from SamMobile, the Korean both upcoming flagships will have a quad-HD display of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The Display size of Note 5 will be 5.7 inches whereas GS6 Edge plus will be of 5.67 inches to be precise.
Initially, Samsung will release both handsets in four color variants including white, black, silver and gold. Both devices will have a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button like the current flagship.
Well as expected Galaxy Note 5 will have a flat display like GS6 while the edge plus variant will have a dual edge display like GS6 Edge. The report further suggests that Samsung Note 5 & Note Edge might not have a removable back and also Micro-SD card. The main difference among both variants will be internal other than just display difference.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 project is internally known as Project Noble. The Note 5 is expected to have an Exynos 7422 chipset which will have an Octa-core 64-bit processor, RAM, GPU, LTE Modem and storage all in one chipset. The device will be having 4GB of LP-DDR4 RAM.Samsung initially considered 4K display for Note 5 but later on stick to Quad HD because of the availability issues.
As far as the GS6 Edge Plus is a concern, this device is internally known as Project Zen. The device will be featuring a Hexacore Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 processor like LG’s G4. Basic model memory storage will be 32GB. Other specs include a 16MP rear camera with OIS and a 5MP front facing the camera for perfect selfies. A gigantic 3000mAh battery will be powering the device.
As OS, both devices are expected to have Android 5.1 Lollipop on board. From the look of things, it seems Samsung is planning to introduce updated and bigger versions of 2015 flagships GS6 and GS6 Edge. Although the report didn’t mention any details regarding the S Pen, but it's certain that both variants will have Samsung’s archetypal S pen.
