Google Nexus 5X official now: First Impression

Finally, wait is over for Google Nexus fans because new Nexus flagship smartphones are official now. We will take a look on both smartphones one by one, let’s start with the LG Nexus 5 successor device Nexus 5X.

Nexus 5X is the third Nexus smartphone made by LG. The newly announced Nexus 5X is the evolutionary model of its predecessor with an upgraded hardware specs. The device is also the first Android smartphone to have the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Before going into all details, let’s have a look on the hardware specs of the LG Nexus 5X.

Google Nexus smartphones are known for their smooth processing, but one thing that they have lacked nearly all time is their camera performance. Nearly all smartphone customers’ pays special attention to the camera performance, it would be interesting to see how Google Nexus 5X improved in this section.

As highly rumoured, the new Nexus 5X has a native fingerprint scanner and API of fingerprint available in Android now. So far while using both Apple and Samsung’s fingerprint scanner user initially have to unlock the screen then device in unlocked but fingerprint scanner in Nexus 5X allows the user to open device directly with a single tap on the reader.

Being the native Android API, this solution is much faster than existing solutions available.  With the Nexus imprint, users can also use Google Android pay service.


The Nexus 5X is going to continue the Google tradition of a Nexus smartphone with the best hardware and an affordable price tag. The 16GB variant is available for only $379 whereas the 64GB variant will cost the customer $429. Even though the device is sold unlocked but still it supports all US carriers LTE bands.  Both variants go on sale through Google Play straight away.
