A couple of days ago, we shared details that Samsung allegedly started mass production of its latest Exynos 8890 chipset, this chipset is expected will be the driving force of upcoming Galaxy S7.
In a recent Geek Benchmark test, Apple’s latest A9 chipset singles out the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 and Samsung’s Exynos 8890 chipset in single core test.
However, as expected Samsung outperforms the Apple’s A9 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset in multi-threading tests. Samsung’s latest Exynos 8890 is on top in multi-threading tests. Let’s have a look on the benchmark graph below.
The Korean giant Samsung introduced their latest Exynos 8890 last week, just a couple of days before Samsung’s announcement, Qualcomm introduced their latest Snapdragon 820 in New York.
The Exynos 8890 is the most powerful chipset in a multi-threading process that’s why it yields 7400 points in Geek benchmark test. The second position is attained by Huawei’s latest Helio X20 with 6500 points, the Third position is also achieved by Huawei’s Kirin 950 with 6400 points.
The Qualcomm’s Snapdragon is on the fourth position with a score of 5300 points. The last position is for Apple’s A9 with a score of 4436 points. Well, main reason behind Apple A9 trail is its two cores as compared to Android’s Octa-core chipsets. All first four chipsets will be powering majority Android smartphones in 2016.
