According to the latest reports from Samsung home country South Korea, the upcoming Galaxy S7 will be released in mid-February 2016. The report further suggests both variants of GS7 will support LTE Cat 12.
In last few weeks, we have rumours that Samsung might be announcing their next flagship Galaxy S a bit earlier than expected. Initially, we have rumours Galaxy S7 might be announced in last week of December 2015 or in early January 2016 but report sources suggest device official launch will be in February 2016.
As nothing is set in stone, thats why we can’t be sure about the authenticity of mid-Feb release, there are chances Samsung might announce Galaxy S7 in January with a release date in February. This year Samsung unveiled their Galaxy Note 5 few weeks earlier than usual time frame which helps their device to compete well against major rivals including the iPhone 6s in the market.
So far it’s not clear whether Samsung will again release device few weeks earlier or not. As far as LTE CAT 12 is a concern, on paper it can support 600Mb/s for downloading and for uploading its top speed is 100Mb/s. So far no carrier is providing such insane speed.
