A couple of days ago when Samsung trademarks “BRITECELL”, rumours start swirling that Samsung will be using this new camera sensor technology in Galaxy S7. That’s why everyone was keen to know how BRITECELL will work and what kind of features it will offer.
The latest Samsung BRITECELL technology will be reducing the electrical crosstalk between camera pixels by creating a physical barrier which will isolate each pixel separately.
From the last couple of years, Samsung was using the ISOCELL technology for camera sensors of its flagship smartphones, but now it seems Samsung is taking another big step in camera technology which is dubbed as BRITECELL.
Samsung officially unveiled this new BRITECELL technology in an investor’s conference. The main aim of this technology is to provide a higher resolution camera sensor which can work perfectly in low light conditions. Every camera sensor manufacturer would like to create a new sensor with dynamic range and to yield the best performance in low light conditions but Samsung introduced a new concept by ditching old tradition filters.
The Samsung BRITECELL camera will be of 20MP which means we can expect next Galaxy S7 flagship will be having this camera sensor. Other features of this camera sensor are phase detection autofocus and smart WDR.
