Google releases Android 6.0.1 factory Images for Nexus devices: OTA update coming soon

A couple of weeks ago, we shared a news that Google starts rolling out new Android 6.0.1 update for its Android One devices. This Google Android OS update is not a major update but instead will be focusing on bug fixes.

Finally, today Google officially starts the roll-out of Android Marshmallow first iteration 6.0.1. As expected Nexus lineup will being the first in line to get the latest update. Google also released the factory images of Android 6.0.1 for most of its Nexus devices.

So if you are keen to get your devices updated with the latest update, you can flash your device with the latest iteration of Android Marshmallow. The Android 6.0.1 factory images are available for the below-mentioned devices.

·         Nexus 5
·         Nexus 9
·         Nexus 7

As we mentioned earlier, the new update will be bringing nearly 200 more emoji characters. Other manufacturers are still mum about their plans of releasing the Android 6.0.1 update. According to latest Android chart distribution, the Android 6.0 is currently running on only 0.3% of total Android devices. A huge number of Android users are still waiting to get the Marshmallow update sweet.
