Last month, statistics shows that Android Marshmallow is powering 2.3% of all Android devices around the globe. Now, Google is back with the March report, and stats are surprisingly favoring Android 6.0 adoption.
Currently, 4.6 % of all Android devices are running on Android Marshmallow, it seems Android 6.0 user base is doubled in last month. The reason behind this sudden increase is companies recently announced flagships running on Marshmallow out of the box and also few companies starts rolling out latest flavor update. The most popular smartphone released are Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
All other Android versions percentage doesn’t increase significantly. At the moment, Android Lollipop is powering 35.8 % of devices (Last month it was 36.1%). The Android KitKat is now in the second position with a 33.4%share (34.3% in Feb). The Jelly Bean is in the third position with a 21.3% share (22.3% in Feb). The Android Ice cream sandwich is 2.2% whereas the 2.6% devices are still on Gingerbread.
Google recently announced Android N Beta version, we can expect more devices will be running on Marshmallow ahead of its release. Well, if your device is eligible for Android Marshmallow update, have you received it yet or not? Do share your views below regarding the update.
