Google may release Android N Developer preview for non-Nexus Smartphone

The current Android flavor Android N developer preview is only available for selected Nexus devices. Like last year, this year once again Google releases the Beta version of its Android operating system.  Last year Beta version was restricted for Nexus smartphones only but for this year it seems the company is planning to expand its testing partners, new OEM partners phones will be also included in the testing process.
Today FUNExtreme onReddit has spotted a hidden code on Android N Preview site in “What’s New” section. As per code, Google will be adding more devices in the testing process as well as from their OEM partners.
In March 2016, Google surprisingly announced the Android N Beta version. Usually, Google is known for announcing a new Android version at annual I/O event. Last year Google started the release of a Beta version of the latest update. This year once again Android N Beta version or developer preview was released for developers.

As being the latest and a major update, the Android N is bringing plenty of new features and improvements including Java 8 support, direct reply notification, native support for multi-window and improved battery life. Soon after the announcement the developer preview was released for the Nexus5x, Nexus 6p, Nexus 9, Nexus 6, Nexus Player and Pixel C.
As this info is not from an official source that’s why we would recommend you take this info with a pinch of salt. We will be keeping an eye on the matter and will share more news if Google itself officially announce the inclusion of new non-Nexus devices in the testing process.
However, it would be interesting to see Android N developer preview on a non-Nexus smartphone. Do share your thoughts below if Google Android N preview is extended to non-Nexus smartphones.
