There are a number of Android smartphone owners, who are still waiting eagerly for the latest Android Marshmallow update. Well, at the moment, OnePlus is the only manufacturer which none of the devices have Android Marshmallow.
So the far company has released three smartphones the OnePlus One, OnePlus X and the OnePlus 2. A couple of days ago, it seems like the latest flagship OnePlus 2 will be the first to receive the Android 6.0 OTA update. Recently, OnePlus has announced “community build” version of the update for OnePlus 2 users. This was the Beta testing version before the roll out of final version.
Surprisingly, the OnePlus One could be the first company smartphone to receive the latest Android Marshmallow update. A recent report referencing the tweet of Carl Pei suggests the company will be rolling out an update very soon for OnePlus One.
Today we have a strong indication that company will likely start rolling out an update from tomorrow onwards. The update confirmation is from the official sources. The Indian blog of OnePlus confirms that OnePlus Android Marshmallow update will start from April 10th 2016. It’s important to mention that the roll out the update is not the Oxygen OS Android 6.0 version but instead Cyanogen version of latest Android flavor.
The blog post mentioned that update will be released in the form of “CM 13.0” with a build number of ZNH0EAS26M. They also mentioned that update roll out will come directly from Cyanogen. So far, it’s not confirmed this roll out of update will be worldwide or not because so far only Indian Blog of OnePlus confirms the update. There are chances this version of the update will be released only for Indian users. Unluckily, the blog posting didn’t mention details about OxygenOS Marshmallow roll out for the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X.
