Since the most known and credible benchmark source AnTuTu went cross platform, it’s been releasing quarterly statics of the top performing smartphone which passes through their benchmark test. During last quarter of 2015, The Apple’s iPhone 6s and iPhone 6sPlus was on top thanks to their potential A9 Soc, but for this year, the chair of the top fastest smartphone of the quarter is rearranged.
In 2016 first quarter, Samsung’s Exynos 8890 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipsets are used in latest flagships. As expected devices running on both aforementioned chipsets are currently ruling the AnTuTu’s first quarter benchmark rankings.
I am sure, many gadget lovers are expecting Samsung Galaxy S7 to be on the top of the benchmark rankings but surprisingly, both the latest Samsung flagships are actually competing for the second place. The Xiaomi’s recently introduced Mi 5 is the newest fastest smartphone of Q1 2016.
Even though Mi 5 from Xiaomi is not a powerhouse because it is packed with a 5 inches full HD display while the Galaxy S7 is featuring a quad HD display. This might be one of the reasons why GS7 is not on top. The third position is still occupied by Apple A9 chipset featured in iPhone 6s. As we all know, the difference between this chipset and the GS7 is pretty insignificant.
