Without any doubt, the Taiwanese giant HTC needs to improve their sales because from last few quarters they are selling much less smartphone than they were producing a couple of years ago. The HTC was the third largest smartphone manufacturer after Apple and Samsung but now the company is way down in a number of producing smartphones.
The newly released flagship HTC 10 will have to change things around and initial response globally is quite positive for the manufacturer. This time, HTC’s flagship is bringing a number of significant changes from its predecessors and brings back the glory of the premium flagship with high-end specs on board.
A couple of weeks ago, we had reports that this year HTC will be producing the both mid-range and high-end Nexus smartphones. Soon after the announcement of HTC 10, now rumours are surfacing HTC premium Nexus handset will be based on recently announced flagship HTC 10.
Today, we have interestingly a mock up popped up on Reddit which even though is not near to the final product but this third party mockup gives us a good idea how an HTC Nexus would look like if it is based on HTC 10.
Even though the overall design of the device is quite similar to flagship 10 but still renderer manages to make few changes. Instead of the new home button of HTC 10, the rendered device is featuring a front facing speaker and bezels are also very less.
Like Huawei 6p, the fingerprint scanner on this device is on rear side alongside the camera setup. The headphone jack is also on exactly same location like the HTC 10 but I am sure this design is going to appeal many of Nexus fans.
If the design of Nexus HTC is similar to the flagship HTC 10 then we can expect nearly same high-end specs as well. Just for the sake of reminder, the HTC 10 is packed with a 5.2 inches quad HD display with 2560 x 1440 screen resolution. The Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 Soc is accompanied by 4GB of RAM, Adreno 530 for graphics and the base model will have 32GB internal storage.
The rear camera on the HTC 10 is 12MP with laser auto focus and OIS while the front-facing snapper is of 5MP. A 300MaH battery is lighting up the device. As OS Android latest Marshmallow flavor is on board with HTC’s sense UI cover.
