The upcoming Google Nexus 2016 smartphones rumours are gaining momentum with each passing day. We have been hearing for quite long time that this year both the Nexus smartphones will be produced by Taiwanese manufacturer HTC.
So far HTC has produced a number of devices for Google Nexus lineup including a tablet and Smartphone as well. The mid-ranger Nexus 2016 smartphone internally codenamed as Sailfish “S1” whereas the top of the line flagship smartphone will be released as “Marlin” M1. The Sailfish variant design is expected to be based on the HTC’s latest flagship 10 smartphones whereas the flagship Marlin is expected to have a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Soc. The 821 Soc is likely will be the successor version of current Snapdragon 820, it will be bringing a minor revision of current finest Soc.
So far we don’t have any official confirmation regarding what upcoming chipset will be bringing, so it’s too early to speculate anything at the moment. We can expect this chipset will be announced alongside the Snapdragon 823 chipset which is rumoured to be powering the Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy Note 7 Edge.
On the other hand, whether HTC will be the only manufacturer of this year Nexus smartphones it is still not officially confirmed not by Google neither by HTC. Last year Nexus 6p manufacturer Huawei General Manager, Charlenne Munilall claims they will be producing another Nexus device this year. This device will be the flagship smartphone or a Nexus tablet, it is not confirmed yet.
We will be sharing more details in coming days, stay connected.
